I made this card for Merilyn's sketch challenge using Woven Strands. I spritzed a brayered paper with gold Twinkling H2Os over the WS stencil. I stamped the sentiment with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I stamped one of the WS stamps into Sculpey and baked it in my trusty toaster oven (for crafting only.)

WATERCOLOR WINDOW FRAME TECHNIQUE
The Club Scrap July technique challenge was Watercolor Window Frame, combining stamping and watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. This techniques lends itself to lots of kinds of cards, and I know I will be coming back to it and using it again. I added sequins which was the Ways to Use It challenge this week on Splitcoast Stampers.

One Layer Simplicity Challenge #8
The One Layer Simplicity Challenge this month is called Shades of Summer. We had a choice of six different Design Seeds palettes and I chose #5, a close up photo of a beautiful flower. I love to watch butterflies in a summer flower garden.

Assembly Line Boot Camp Week 4
I haven't been able to participate in all the Boot Camp challenges, but I did have time this week when the challenge was to use petals or flowers.I love this stamp from the Club Scrap Watercolor Blossoms set. I applied the colors to the stamp using Memento inks, and then spritzed with water before placing the stamp on the paper.Friday, February 14, 2014
Queen of Hearts Challenge 2014
Quietfire Designs sponsors the Queen of Hearts challenge each year to make some love themed artwork at Valentine's Day. I love the beautiful calligraphy of Quietfire's Suzanne Cannon, and I used her stamp with a quote from Elizabeth Barrett Browning for my card. Happy Valentine's Day!
Assembly Line Boot Camp - Week 1
Club Scrap is hosting Assembly Line Boot Camp. and the first challenge was to use metallics on your card. I used images from Steppin' Out to make an anniversary card. I love the combination of black, white and silver, and luckily I have some metallic silver card stock. I also used some silver brads to complete my card. Entries will have a chance to win prizes, plus for every entry, Club Scrap will make a donation to Operation Write Home, which collects handmade cards and sends them to our service people who are deployed, so that they can send cards home to their families.
